Many solar enterprises base their prices on local power rates and sunlight availability; even while their expenses stay constant, they frequently charge more in higher-rate areas. Customers may end up paying significantly more for the same solar system as a result of this strategy.

At Project Solar, we support a flat pricing structure that, independent of utility rates or incentives, guarantees equity and consistency for every customer. We don’t change our costs for each project, and we work hard to give every client a solution that is reliable, universal, and affordable.

We account for economies of scale as well as fixed expenses related to solar installation in our pricing structure. Larger systems inherently cost more overall, but because of economies of scale, the cost per watt goes down.

We employ a sliding scale price-per-watt (PPW) approach that guarantees proportionate costs across a range of system sizes in order to establish a fair balance.

Systems over 13 kW cost $1.80 per watt for do-it-yourself installations, while 4 kW installations start at $2.10 per watt (small system size adder applies to systems below 4 kW).

We can provide Full Service installation for an extra $0.50–0.70 per watt (depending on location) if that’s what you’re interested in.

It’s crucial to remember that these prices represent the true cost; state and federal incentives, which are legally yours and are not taken into account in our pricing, are not included.

What is the double-backed guarantee that Project Solar Partners offers for installations?

You will receive a double-backed workmanship warranty (which will also cover any potential solar-caused roof leaks, though these are rare) if you have our Project Solar Partners install your system. This provides an additional degree of protection because it signifies that Project Solar and our Partnered Installer have committed to accepting liability for the system’s installation.

How quickly will my solar investment with Project Solar pay for itself?

A short pay-off period is another benefit of obtaining a cheap solar cost. It takes eight to 10 years for their investment to pay off because solar is much more expensive at other solar firms. Our clients’ systems typically save enough money in five and a half years to cover their costs.

Can I upgrade my system's battery later?

Battery installations are not something that Project Solar can help with, however we do offer batteries. This policy does not apply to customers who have already had a system installed by us.
As you may have noticed from reading our post on batteries, we don’t always suggest them because they are frequently pricy and don’t always justify their high cost.
However, since home solar is still very new, prices should drop and warranties should get better. This is because battery technology is still pretty new.
This is why adding a battery to your system later on may occasionally be more economical.

LIDAR

We have access to LIDAR technology thanks to Aurora Solar, which allows us to create accurate, three-dimensional remote maps of your house and its surroundings. The program then provides the roof slope and heights, allowing our designers to produce precise, to-scale roof layouts. From there, we can quickly determine the most advantageous energy offset by positioning and rearranging panels.

Shading

Shade is defined as anything that creates a shadow on your roof. Aurora Solar takes into consideration the nearby houses and trees, resulting in a more precise measurement of sunshine exposure. The places on your roof with the greatest exposure to sunshine are given priority by our designers when arranging the panels.

Irradiance

Aurora Solar also makes use of irradiance mapping, which measures the annual quantity of solar radiation that reaches your roof. Our designers strive to position the panels where they will be most beneficial for you, taking into account that some parts of your roof receive more sunlight than others.

Orientation

What tools does Project Solar use to install solar panels?

How does the Production Guarantee of Project Solar operate?

The Power Bank products from Project Solar are covered against manufacture faults under warranty. Units that are altered, mishandled, broken by accident, or used for purposes other than those permitted by Project Solar’s current product literature are not covered by the guarantee.

Should the return be covered by warranty, Project Solar will pay for return postage.
